For starters, we believe it's important to remember that being part of a community is different from networking. It's about fostering a feeling of wanting to contribute versus simply focusing on what you can gain from your network. In some cases, the people within your community could be competition. But if you view them as part of your community, it opens up space for honest conversations to happen, relationships to develop, and new opportunities to come together organically. As part of this, we also talk about why it's so important for community members to share how much they charge, what clients pay, who is hiring, etc. It's all about paying it forward and sharing the wealth. The more we share, the more we can all earn! At the end of the episode, we talk about what to do when someone does feel like a competitor. And if you listen closely, we announce the new name of the podcast! The new season (with the new name/design/website!) will launch in January 2018.
