Description:

In the 33rd episode of the Historic Performance Podcast, I interview Pierre Barrieu. Currently, Pierre is the Head of Performance at Le Havre AC and a FIFA Coaching School Instructor.

Pierre is well known for his role as a Physical Preparation Coach for the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team from 2002 - 2011. During this time, he worked with both Bruce Arena and Bob Bradley and helped them physically prepare the team for 3 (2002, 2006, and 2010) World Cup tournaments

In this episode, Pierre talks about preparing the U.S. Men's National Soccer team for a stressful, long tournament like the World Cup, working as a FIFA Coaching School Instructor, and his thoughts about off the ball conditioning for soccer players.
