Historic Performance Podcast #35 - Simone Ripamonti

Category: Sports & Recreation
Duration:
Publish Date: 2016-02-23 02:06:00
Description:

In the 35th episode of the Historic Performance Podcast, I interview Simone Ripamonti. Simone is the former Head of Sports Science at Melbourne City Football Club.

Football is a global sport that is played throughout the world. Up to now, the majority of my guests have been from the United Kingdom, United States, and Australia, which does not properly reflect the international nature of the sport. It is for this reason that I invited Simone Ripamonti on the show.

He has a wealth of experience having started his career with Spanish-giants Real Madrid, worked in Italy with U.C. Sampdoria and Cagliari Calcio, and most recently worked in Australia as the Head of Sports Science at Melbourne City Football Club.

In this episode, Simone talks about his experiences interning at Real Madrid, a typical day as the Head of Sports Performance at a football club, and his thoughts regarding strength training for football players.
