In the 44th episode of the Historic Performance Podcast, I interview Michael Main. Michael is the Head of Strength & Conditioning at Sri Lanka Cricket. Over the last few weeks, I have received multiple comments and e-mails that listeners want a bit more variety of the podcast. As such, I have started contacting individuals from outside of soccer to come on the podcast and Michael is one of them. Prior to this episode, my overall knowledge of cricket was extremely limited. However, due to my research and conversation with Michael, I now have tremendous respect for cricket players and fast bowlers in general. In this episode, Michael talks about the ECB fast bowler program, how he manages the work load of his fast bowlers, and his vision for improving strength & conditioning in Sri Lanka's domestic cricket scene.
