In the 49th episode of the Historic Performance Podcast, I interview Dr. Tim Gabbett. Dr. Gabbett is an Applied Sports Scientist & Owner of Gabbett Performance Solutions.

Over the last 20 years, Dr. Gabbett has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles & presented at over 100 international sports science conferences. He has helped prepare elite level athletes for the Commonwealth Games & the Olympics and worked as a consultant with the Philadelphia Eagles, Irish Rugby Union, Cricket Australia, Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club, Wigan Athletic Football Club, and many other organizations.

In this episode, Dr. Gabbett talks about the sports science paradox, the importance of acute:chronic workload ratio, and how to formulate sports science questions to be answered via data collection & analysis.
