In the 69th episode of the Historic Performance Podcast, I interview Jason Laird. Jason is the English Institute of Sport Lead Physiotherapist for British Judo. Prior to joining the English Institute of Sport, Jason worked as an Academy Physiotherapist at Chelsea Football Club and as the Senior Physiotherapist for the Royal Ballet Company. Since March 2014, Jason has been involved with British Judo. As the only full-time medical staff, he oversees athlete load monitoring, injury audits, athlete profiling, rehabilitation, and return to play to ensure that all the individuals involved with British Judo are able to remain healthy and deliver an optimal performance.
