Description: In the mid 1800's, author Henri Murger wrote a collection of loosely-related short stories that he published as Scene de la vie de Boheme. Literary enthusiasts were fond of the book but it didn't become truly popular until a local playwright was asked to adapt part of the text for the stage. Fifty years later, Giacomo Puccini's operatic version of the story premiered in Turin at the Teatro Regio as: La Boheme. Westminster Opera Studio in Salt Lake City recently finished a run of La Boheme, and now they visit us in our studio to sing some of the most iconic and beloved selections from this incredible opera under the direction of David Schmidt. Singers: Asha Brooke, Jillian Roberts, Eric Taylor, Vanessa Vega & Gregory Watts; Repertoire: PUCCINI "Che gelida manina", "Si. Mi chiamano Mimi", "O soave fanciulla", "Quando me'n vo'", "Finale" Follow Highway 89 on twitter: @byuh89 and on instagram: @byuh89
