And today from the we have a person who has moved from a career in technology and in this case, cybersecurity to run for the U S house of Representatives. Her name is Madison Horn and her decision to run for office was in her words, "born out of a deep frustration. With the conduct of current politicians, the continued polarization of our country and the lack of qualified individuals with technological expertise in Congress."
While somewhere around 7 percent of women hold leadership positions and less than 1 percent lead global practices, Madison has broken those barriers by leading Siemens Energy's global cybersecurity practice with a focus on protecting critical infrastructure. She now serves as the CEO of a cybersecurity firm in Oklahoma city and now she's going to take on another challenge and try to bring her unique expertise to the US Congress.
