In this episode, Andrew sits down with the Ladies of Ragnarok. They are Angela and Aubrey of The Doubleclicks, the ukelele machine known as Molly Lewis, and everyone’s favorite producer Liz Smith. In this interview, they talk about their excitement for the impending tour, their impressive roster of guests appearing on some of their tour dates, and their plans for what they’ll do if the world DOESN’T end in December.
Also, in this episode, Andrew uses all of his cunning journalism skills to get Liz to reveal a very cool piece of news. (Read: he asks politely and she answers, since she was going to announce it anyway…) There will be a Dammit Liz holiday themed show in Seattle at the end of the year, and the Ladies of Ragnarok will indeed be performing there! You heard it here first, my fellow west coast inhabitants: you’ll be able to experience the Ragnarok for yourselves and no longer have to envy those lucky souls who are able to enjoy the current tour. Stay tuned to the Dammit Liz media empire for more information about this show.
“All that is great,” I hear you ask, “but how do I get more information to get my ass to a show on the current tour before it wraps up October 16th?” Go to their website, of course! LadiesofRagnarok.com has every scrap of info you need to make sure you get your butt into a seat at a show near you.
Finally, there’s more awesome at the end of the episode, as the Ladies tackle a cover version of our very own theme song (written by our good friend Manny Jasus, http://farfromclose.com). If you’ve ever wanted to hear The Doubleclicks and Molly Lewis team up to sing about a giant robot invasion, we are your new best friends. Seriously, the song is so good it has to be heard to be believed.
