G S Rajesh recently left his corporate career to follow his passion for strengths-based development. He is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach who focuses on strengths-based leadership programs for teams, leaders and organizations. In his experience, coaching is about creating trust and transparency with the coachee. He’s discovered that people don’t realize their potential because they are always focused on their weaknesses and what’s wrong with them.
One person he coached was branded as a poor people manager because he wasn’t good at relationship building. In fact, G S looked at his strengths and the person did have more executing and influencing themes. But when this person discovered their strengths and GS helped him focus on what he was good at, he was able to manage his weaknesses and focus on the value he does bring as a manager. The teams he led began to see his strengths as well and were able to appreciate them.
