Anne Lingafelter, Gallup Consultant, announces the kick-off of the Gallup Student Poll in Australia today. Anne interviews Kelley Wacher, a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and the Founder of Corporate Magic, a boutique consultancy firm specializing in transformational training, executive coaching, and professional and personal development. Kelley chose the name of her company after she discovered CliftonStrengths. Her company is about helping her clients create magic by giving them knowledge about themselves, mostly through CliftonStrengths. Kelley uses CliftonStrengths in conjunction with other coaching and assessment tools. Kelley compares and contrasts the DiSC personality test with CliftonStrengths and discusses how she uses them both in her trainings.
Kelley’s Individualization helps her not to judge people, she sees them as individuals and does not compare. It also helps her quickly get an idea of a person’s learning styles. In her group sessions, she knows it’s not one size fits all, so she seeks to teach to all sizes in the room. Her Empathy has been her hardest strength to develop from raw to mature. People can tell she has Empathy, it gives her the ability to step out of her shoes and get into the shoes of others. She can really connect herself to the emotions of others and validate their feelings. Kelley always gets asked for directions in the street and people instantly connect and share with her, she believes this is because of her Relator. It allows her to build deep relationships and loyalty between clients and friends. Her Maximizer makes her give 120% and push for results. She puts together programs based on what her customers’ needs are and she practices her delivery over and over before presenting. She also uses her Maximizer to see the potential in others. She wants to create awareness and draw out people’s best.
