It's not uncommon to have breakdowns in communication, but to assume it's intimidation leaves out the real possibility of a connection based on mutual mutual respect in the union of the sexes. Men appreciate smart women and in fact see them as allies. The perception that a woman has to dumb it down to attract a man is a mistake that has to be rewritten.
