The current real estate record keeping system is slow, inefficient, and has very little transparency. Redressing property rights and other issues is not uniform around the world, or even within the same country. Ubitquity’s blockchain record keeping hopes to change that.

By recording, storing, and tracking property rights on a system that is parallel to the current paper system, Ubitquity will shorten the wait times for requested records, lower title insurance costs, and even help combat government corruption and backward policies and procedures.

Ubitquity currently works on the Bitcoin blockchain, though they are compatible with other blockchains, as well, and are currently focused on North American municipalities. However, they are looking to expand into South America, and have tested their product in Brazil.
