The efficient and sufficient work of Christ means we are His workmanship, His chosen people predestined for His purposes. What hope we have because the Lord is for us and is justifying us, who then can be against us? We should not be ashamed because this Gospel will produce this work and is guaranteed to end in glorification. We are all hopeless without salvation, but as the Doctor says, thanks be to God for the saving power of Hisgospel.
