1: The Why and How of Starting a Practice

Category: Religion & Spirituality

Description: From the Hive is a contemplative space where meditative practice meets mindful everyday living. Each episode has two parts, a conversation and a guided mediation. We are connecting you to various contemplative teachers, hearing their story, and sharing a meditative practice with them. We will typically release 30-40 minute long episodes but, because of the nature of the conversation and the many wise voices we had in the room with us, we thought it would be best to not cut it too much. If you don’t have time now to listen to everything, feel free to skip ahead to 39:38 where the meditation begins and then come back later to the conversation. In this first episode, we would like to give you, our audience, a look behind the scenes at the why and how of starting a practice. We have a range of practitioners, from beginners to folks who have been practicing for thousands of hours, discussing starting and maintaining a practice.
