“Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don’t go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won’t laugh at you.” – Jim Rohn
Today’s guest is Amy Kubal, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who blogs at robbwolf.com and is the RD behind the “Ask The RD” column in Paleo magazine.
Amy has recently been very open about her eating disorder recovery, and in today’s episode we discuss:
- How even Paleo can be used to cover restrictive behaviors
- Why food is a gift and why we have to treat it as such
- How to learn how to eat food with no rules
- Why we must start giving ourselves permission to enjoy—and not just eat—the food
This episode is open, honest, and raw—and may be triggering for some. But I really wanted to share this with you, because I think it is so, so important for all of us to understand that even the experts are on their own journey—and that recovery is entirely possible if you’re willing to reach out for support and do the work to make peace with food and your body.
