Roy believes a continuous arc of the tornado creates a “vacuum that sucks up the earth.” He notes that clouds act as a capacitor for one lightning strike, but when lightning goes for continuous minutes, you have a continuous arc. Roy then wonders why tornadoes aren't well understood. Our hosts move on to talking about diamonds and their properties, and Roy used to be a diamond cutter.
