Nick visited Tuesday's open workouts and caught up with 'Swedish Sendation' Erik Skoglund and his head coach and father ahead of Saturday's Ali Trophy fight opener against Callum Smith.
Team Skoglund were calm and relaxed despite admitting they were entering the lions den at the Echo Arena, and revealing Friday will be the first time in Erik's pro career he's been as light as 168lb super-middle tournament limit.
But they believe all the pressure to perform is on the home fighter, and come Saturday that will give the visitors an important advantage. |
