Description: Think rainforest and you might think of the Amazon or Sumatra, but Britain has its own rare rainforest habitat, known as ‘temperate rainforest’. The Wildlife Trusts are beginning an ambitious project to restore and create more of them, using £38 million of funding from the insurance company Aviva. The impact of climate change on UK agriculture is something we often discuss on this programme, and many farmers are working closely alongside scientists to help prepare for the different growing conditions we’re likely to experience in future. We visit the James Hutton Institute to hear about the latest in blackcurrant research and breeding. Presented by Caz Graham and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
