	Description:		The area of maize grown in the UK has roughly trebled since the 1990s. Is that a good or bad thing? Fans of maize say it's a cheap crop to grow, needing little fertiliser and producing high quality livestock feed. But others see it as an environmental menace, which often leads to soil compaction and run off.
