18/05/21 - Visitors to the countryside, seasonal workers and measuring how happy a cow is

Description: Over the last year, the UK countryside has seen a massive rise in the number of visitors, especially when lockdown rules have prevented people travelling abroad. We visit the Eastern moors of the Peak District National Park where the farmer says he's seen everything from children being put on the back of his bull to people posing for nude selfies on the cliffs! We put your questions on seasonal labour issues to the NFU's Ali Capper. After an interview with Neil Parish, Chair of the EFRA Committee, earlier in the week, we've been inundated with emails with suggestions and questions. And how can you tell if your livestock is happy? Well for the past 12 months milk processor Arla has been using the latest GPS tracking technology to monitor a herd of 450 cows' behaviour with the aim of getting an answer based on analysing data and metrics. We visit the trial site. Presented by Anna Hill Produced for BBC Audio in Bristol by Heather Simons
