Description: Farmers could earn money by using intensive grazing systems to improve their soils and capture carbon. Microsoft has paid a massive farm in Australia to offset its carbon footprint by capturing carbon in the soil. British farmers are now looking to monetize carbon they capture in the soil, tapping into the emerging market for carbon credits. We speak to Regen, a company that's developing this system, and a farmer in Leicestershire who's given up arable and is farming beef instead. He's now seeking private firms who'll pay him for sequestering carbon. What impact has Covid19 had on rural communities? The Rural Services Network is about to publish a new report on how the countryside economy can be revitalised. It says businesses in the countryside have been hit harder by the pandemic than those in urban areas.
