Description: Some farmers who supply Tesco are facing price cuts as the UK’s biggest supermarket squares up to take on discount retailers like Aldi and Lidl, as well as absorb costs incurred due to the coronavirus crisis. We hear reaction from farmers. Nearly two million acres of grassland have been lost in Great Britain over the last 25 years, an area bigger than Suffolk and Sussex combined. We ask if, and why, it matters. We’re looking into the idea of a ‘green recovery’ all this week. Stowell Farms in Wiltshire has had green renewable energy at the heart of its dairy operation for nearly a decade now. Presented by Caz Graham and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
