Rust is a systems programming language that runs blazingly fast, prevents segfaults, and guarantees thread safety. Ben Striegel is one of the original members of the Rust community, having watched it grow from a 30-person IRC channel to an established project with over two thousand committers and hundreds of commercial users. Today he is a member of the Rust Community Team providing mentorship, outreach, and community coordination. He has also contributed to the open-source video game Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.
