Seniors are experiencing what doctors call an epidemic of loneliness and isolation during the ongoing pandemic noting that it’s more important than ever to check in with aging loved ones and neighbors.

Michaela Williams, Senior Community Program Specialist for Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) came on the program to address some of the added problems seniors face because of Covid-19 along with elder abuse.

Riverside County Adult Protective Services (APS) handles more than 20,000 calls of abuse and neglect to the APS hotline annually.
