	Description:		Over 140 economists and political scientists have written an open letter to California Governor Gavin Newsom, asking him to suspend California's AB-5 law which prevents individuals from working part time in a variety of indispensable positions, especially during the coronavirus crisis. Economist Bill Evers, at the Independent Institute is one of the authors of the letter. AB-5 is doing substantial, and avoidable, harm to the very people who now have the fewest resources and the worst alternatives available to them during the Covid-19 shut down.
