	Description:		Homelessness is a crisis impacting communities across the country. To understand what leads to homelessness thousands of volunteers fan out every January to count and interview the homeless in Riverside County during the annual Point in Time count. The count provides the numbers, statistics and demographics about who’s living on the streets. Laura Gonzalez-Rivera with the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services is the coordinator for Riverside County’s 2020 Point in Time Count (PITC). She came on the program to discuss how the PITC works and how many volunteers will be needed.
