Italian show jumping icon Major Raimondo D’Inzeo is the younger brother of Piero D’Inzeo and son of renown horseman Constanzo D’Inzeo who taught his sons to ride in the style devised by Captain Federio Caprilli. Raimondo’s illustrious career spanned four decades and was highlighted with six Olympic medals interspersed with two World Championship titles and numerous major Grand Prix victories. His famous partners included Merano, Bellevue, Fiorello and Posillipo. Raimondo cut a dashing figure in the uniform of the Italian Carabinieri with his distinguished classical forward riding that captured the imagination of riders around the world and will forever epitomize the Caprilli style which emerged from the golden era of Italian show jumping.
