Description: We all want to know. And in 2016, we need it. We need to understand just how much God loves us. We can't function in a reality, and live a life, in which we don't feel God's love. In this uplifting and inspiring lecture at the Wald's Residence in Boro Park, Rav Dror Moshe Cassouto talks about how important believing in Hahem's (God's) love truly is, for a meaningful religious life. We have spent so mny years learning that God is a God a judgements, and a vengeful God, and a jealous God, but really, God is a loving father. A loving Creator. He created us, and he knows just how good we are in our hearts, and how holy our desires are, and how pure our souls are. We have to believe in that with all our heart and soul. That the loving and merciful God created us in his image, which is a perfect creation. We are kind. We are generous. We have good hearts. We want to love. We want to be helpful. And we've been through lots of physical and emotional trauma, and spiritual battles, that have left us broken and beat. But we are still beautiful inside in our souls. We need to pray, and pray, and build that solid relationship with God though countless prayers, hours of Hitbodedut, deep jewish meditation, and just bringing God into our lives wherever we go. We don't believe in God's love to us, that's why we give up and don't believe that God answers prayer. But he does, we have all seen miracles in our lives, and if Hashem was with us once, it means that he is with us always. We don't understand all of the deep kabbalistic ways that God runs the world, and how God's compassion is functioning at times, but he told us over and over again, and we see it over and over in the Torah, the Bible, the scriptures, countless verses that show us God's love and God's mercy, we need only to believe it, and if it's hard for us, so those need to be our prayers.
