Description: Metatron is not mentioned by name in the Hebrew Bible, but his name appears briefly in several passages of the Talmud and many other Ancient Hebrew texts. His legends are predominantly found in mystical Kabbalistic texts. He is variously identified as the Prince (or Angel) of the Divine Presence, or as Enoch after his bodily ascent into heaven. Rav Dror teaches the true story of Metatron as found in the ancient book, Letters of Rabbi Akiva. The name of Metatron is actually Matatron in the holy language of Hebrew, but is a holy name and must not be pronounced out loud. When refering to Matatron, it is proper to say, "Matat".
