Muslims across the country gathered in various mosques and open fields to celebrate Idd Ul Adha with prayers and merry making.
In Nairobi, Muslims in flowing robes and dresses conducted early morning prayers at various locations including Sir Ali Muslim Club, Eastleigh, Majengo, Shauri Moyo, and South C.
Idd Ul Adha or "Festival of Sacrifice" is one of the two major celebrations in the Muslim calendar and comes after the completion of pilgrimage to Mecca.
The other, Idd ul Fitr is celebrated at the end of the fasting month of Ramadhan. |
