Yeshua's Baptism more than likely happened on the 1st of Elul (the 6th month on the Hebrew Calendar).
Even though the scriptures are not specific about the time frame when Yeshua was baptized, I believe we can see patterns in scripture that point to the fact that he was baptized 40 days before Yom Kippur. The month of Elul on the Hebrew Calendar has 30 days and there are 30 trumpet warnings for each day leading up to the Feast of Trumpets, called Yom Teruah. Then there are 10 more days leading up to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. These 10 days are known as the "ten days of awe." We can accurately see that Yeshua himself fulfilled these 40 days of repentance when he was led by the Ruach ha'Kodesh (Holy Spirit) into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Maria will be discussing how Yeshua's baptism likely happened 40 days before Yom Kippur as he fulfilled the pattern of the two goats on Yom Kippur and took away the sins of Israel. |
