In this episode, I cover the following subjects
A) How future shows will be formatted
I describe what we have in mind for the show order and how things should progress so you can always expect a fairly structured, well-organized podcast when you listen to our show. It will begin with an introduction of the topics, then move into an update of everyone in the podcast. This will then be followed by any in-house news or announcements we have and finally to the topics introduced at the beginning of the show.

B) What is the Dollar Project?
This podcast is part of the Dollar Project, which is a club at the University of British Columbia. The objective of the club is to demonstrate the power of individual contributions to exact major changes in the world and in society. Our goal for the club is eventually get every student and staff member donate a dollar to a selected charity, summing to a total contribution of about $47,000.

C) Why did we start podcasting?
It is a very fresh medium with tons of potential. We felt it was a good step forward because of it's interactivity, flexibility and mobility. Most students on campus these days have some form of MP3 player at their disposal. By creating a podcast, we create an opportunity for students who are interested in the project to stay up to date whenever or wherever they go. The continued presence is a welcome change to the limited visibility of posters and booths. Now students can access us from anywhere on campus. The obstacle we face in the future is how to maintain that presence and also to let people know that we are there in the first place.

D) Election results for next year's executive positions

E) Dollar Project social
A social event is being planned for May 3rd, 2009 at the Posh restaurant. This year end dinner will celebrate the end of our charity run with Freedom From Hunger as well as the end of exams. No time has been announced yet. Be sure to check here or in your email for updates!
