What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the Day #73

It only takes a second.

Dialy I get contacted about someones dog that bit their child and it usually was when the parent was not looking for 1 second. So I head out tonight in the RV to Baltimore this weekend for a seminar and it is still winterized, which means no running water, which means no showers or hot water either. So I got in one last shower before I go.

Kyra and Girl are hanging out in my office in Place and Angelo is hanging out watching his tablet. Even though Angelo has been around dogs since he was 48 hours old and Kyra and Girl are with me 24/7 and have NEVER shown any human aggression, never shown any interest in fast moving kids, never care about loud and sudden movements, never even had a close call with Angelo. Even Angelo who is extremely dog savvy and has never hugged the dogs, he barely pets them he just hangs out with them.

Angelo came into my bedroom when I was taking a shower even though the chances of anything happening, let alone all of them even moving out of their spots, there still is a chance, and its a chance that I am not going to take no matter how slim it is. I would never want to not be advocating for both the dogs and Angelo.

Remember accidents happen and if you can think it could happen then it can happen, so why not do something to tip the scales in your favor, so closing my office door and having Angelo in the bedroom with me is some pretty intense tipping.
