Self-directed titration with insulin: which algorithms are suitable?

Category: Health

Description:

International guidelines recommend patient self-directed titration of insulin where initiating a basal regimen. However, these same guidelines do not appear to provide any clear direction of which algorithm should be used, other than it be “evidence-based”. With this in mind, how should we select between algorithms to offer our patients?

Join us for a quick summary of three example algorithms before discussing optimal approaches with Dr Ronald Goldenberg from LMC Diabetes & Endocrinology in Thornhill, Canada.
