Chronic kidney disease is a significant concern in diabetes. In this episode we discuss how best to manage the risk of developing or worsening of CKD, through factors such as blood pressure, blood lipids, lifestyle and the use of nephroprotective agents. We are joined by Dr David Cherney, whose research focuses on the development of renal disease in diabetes. Dr Cherney is Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of Toronto and a Clinician Scientist at the University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospitals, where he is director of the Renal Physiology Laboratory.
