This year’s Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association was the second in a row to be held virtually. Nevertheless, the conference was still packed with the usual informative symposia and original research we would expect from ADA. We spoke to three of the speakers to discuss the highlights, including:

- Professor Anne Peters on STEP, SUSTAIN FORTE and AMPLITUDE-O

- Dr Deborah Wexler on GRADE

- Professor Francesco Giorgino on the SURPASS programme
