	Description:		This week’s talk, given by Lama Kathy Wesley, is entitled, “Prayers for a Pandemic, Part 1.” The COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic took much of the world by surprise in late 2019 and early 2020. When the State of Ohio went under “stay-at-home” orders in Mid-March, the Columbus KTC’s meeting place at the Tifereth Israel synagogue was closed and KTC had to move to a digital presentation format online. This is the first Dharma Talk given by Lama Kathy under the new reality of COVID-19 and addresses the fears and concerns of sangha members struggling with the illness and its societal impact. Lama Kathy teaches methods of calming meditation learned from a Tibetan Doctor and talks about how meditation and Buddhist practice can help in the face of fear and hardship.
