On Sunday, November 23, Copper Mountain College will host their 16th Annual Festival of Wreaths as a festive kick-off to the holiday season in the Morongo Basin. The event includes a live auction for over 70 handcrafted wreaths, baskets, centerpieces, and trees, each uniquely designed to bring some cheer to any living space.
There will also be a silent auction and a dessert auction, which attendees can view at their leisure, as appetizers and dessert samples are served. Holiday cards featuring the art of CMC student artists will be available to purchase, as well as seasonal cocktails provided by Juni’s Gin.
Formed in 2010, proceeds from the Festival of Wreaths support the Roger W. Wagner Fund, named in honor of the President of Copper Mountain College from 2007 to 2014. The fund supports investments in the college in various ways, including hiring new faculty, supporting counseling services, and staff development. The 2024 event raised over $20,000 for such projects to strengthen the college.
The 16th Annual Festival of Wreaths will take place on November 23 at the Bell Center of Copper Mountain College, located at 6162 Rotary Way in Joshua Tree.
Doors open at 2:00 p.m., and the live auction begins at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person, and casual holiday attire is encouraged.
