	Description:		Musician, songwriter, and teacher Cat Cohen has taught the fundamentals of music at the Yucca Valley Community Center. He is now offering a six-week course in 60s Music Appreciation. Cohen says the music of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Johnny Cash, and others helped shape society. He wants to share the experience. “I’ve been teaching fundamentals of music, which is chords, scales, how to read music, rhythms, you know, all that sort of stuff. I’m going to make a discussion class, we’ll play some of the greatest hits from the 60s, and we’ll try to see, wow, these were written so well.” The class begins on September 25 and runs until October 30.
