The City of Twentynine Palms is proud to announce a special Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony to be held on Thursday, June 19 at 8:00 a.m. at City Hall, located at 6136 Adobe Road. Join Mayor Steven Bilderain, City Manager Stone James and city councilmembers in honoring this significant day in American history. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and is a time to reflect on our nation’s journey toward equality and justice for all.
The ceremony will include the raising of the Juneteenth flag, symbolizing freedom and the enduring spirit of African American communities. This meaningful event is an opportunity for the community to come together in unity and remembrance.
Refreshments will be provided by 29 Loaves.
