Description: The 2019 Right Livelihood Awards have just been announced. One of this year’s honorees of the “Alternative Nobel” is Sahrawi human rights activist Aminatou Haidar. She has spent decades peacefully resisting the Moroccan opposition of Western Sahara, often called “Africa’s Last Colony.” Democracy Now! interviewed Haidar in 2014.
