Are there any tips you have for working Live oak after it’s dry? I have a planer and hand planes. I’m really concerned that there will be some crazy tear out. Also since this is some pretty dense stuff running around 2700 on the Janka hardness scale I’ll most likely be tough on any blades.

Salvage Yard Design:  I really want to get into a bit of leather-work, what would be a good starter kit of tools and a good resource on stitching? Cheers! Travis

Theduc: what cheap tools have you got, that you have found to really liked. My example is a cheap 2$ in closed magnet that I use to pick up little steel bits off the work bench
