A couple of weeks ago, I announced that the new season of Convicted was actually going to be transformed into a separate podcast. I am playing this first episode here on the Convicted feed for those who might have missed the announcement. If you enjoy it - you can subscribe to Buried Alive wherever you listen to podcasts. Just last year 139 people were exonerated for crimes they did not commit. They lost years of their lives, missed important events, lost family members… but why? What causes wrongful conviction and how can we help to solve the problem? Demarchoe Carpenter was a teenager when he was sentenced to forever in prison - but the thing is he wasn’t guilty. Using the details of Demarchoe’s story we are going to try and discover what leads to wrongful conviction and how we can fix it.
