	Description:		Néandertal a bel et bien disparu. Pourtant, on entend souvent dire qu’il vit encore en nous à travers l’ADN des humains modernes. Alors, que signifie vraiment l’extinction d’une espèce ? Dans cet épisode, nous déconstruisons les idées reçues et explorons les différences entre la disparition d’une espèce et la transmission de traces génétiques. Bien que certains de ses gènes aient survécu au sein des populations humaines actuelles, Homo neanderthalensis, en tant qu’espèce, s’est éteint il y a environ 40 000 ans. Aujourd’hui, nous démêlons le vrai du faux pour comprendre ce qu’il reste, ou non, de Néandertal de nos jours.
