In mid-August, the US will finalize new corporate average fuel economy and greenhouse gas standards for light-duty vehicles. This will be the most forward-looking vehicle emissions regulation in the world, applying to the new-vehicle fleet from 2017 to 2025, and sets some of the most ambitious energy-efficiency targets.
