The album, recorded at the Convocation Hall of the University of Alberta in Canada, explores a nationalist-inspired repertoire, composed at different times and by different creative personalities. Presenting musical elements that refer to the traditions of folklore and popular Brazilian rhythms, Sonata Para Viola e Piano by Mozart Camargo Guarnieri (written in 1950), Três Valsas Brasileiras by Francisco Mignone (1968), Sonata by Radamés Gnattali (1969) and Sonata No. 2 by Claudio Santoro (1982), highlights the vision of the violist, from the unusual choice of repertoire to her precise and exquisite interpretations.
