The sound of a v-twin exhaust note is heaven to folks all over the world. But, there is something incredibly special in hearing a motorcycle pass by with more than just two cylinders. The same holds true for the antique motorcycle industry, specifically four cylinder machines. Four cylinder motorcycles hold a mystique about them that few other machines can boast. Dating back to the early 1900s, the various manufacturers of four cylinder motorcycles always marketed them as the ultimate gentleman’s machine.
