Description: In the wake of nationwide protests against police brutality, a 2017 study co-authored by a University of Cincinnati professor is getting some renewed attention. The study found that local law enforcement agencies who accepted more decommissioned and donated equipment from the U.S. military through what's known as the "1033 Program" were statistically more likely to result in officer involved killings than those who did not utilize the program.
