	Description:		Thirty-two people have been shot and killed in our area this year. The mother of one of those victims, a 14-year-old, came to police headquarters on Thursday as Chief Eliot Isaac and Mayor John Cranley addressed the surge in violence. Though shootings are down compared with previous years, CPD plans to increase police presence in crime hot spots in an effort to reduce the violence.
